Our House.

A fun project which I delved into for making a plethora of house assets and personal enjoyment. This house was aimed to be aesthetically pleasing from the abstract design to the vibrant and spontaneous colours I intended to use.

Modeling

As I usually do, for my own personal workflow I started the models from scratch 95% of the time from 3D Studio Max and exported out as FBX. There were two rules that i set for myself throughout this project which were; to unwrap as little assets through out this project as necessary, and to utilize Arnold Renderer’s Hypershade heavily throughout.

Shading

For shading & rendering my project I switched to Autodesk Maya. Throughout the project, I utilised Arnold’s Hypershade for texturing and Quixel Bridge for select assets that I felt required it.

The main Hypershade nodes I chose to utilise were the AiJitter and the AiColorCorrect node. It enabled me to use base textures and shaders in more versatile and customised ways for the assets and instances consisting in the scene.

Modified Portal Gun
